Die Kurzgeschichte "Der Nebel" wurde auch in der Sammlung "Im Morgengrauen" veröffentlicht. Die Sonderausgabe ist im Vergleich dazu leicht revidiert.
Da King nachträglich den Lizenzvertrag nicht anerkannte, mussten alle noch nicht verkauften Exemplare vernichtet werden (350 Stück von insgesamt 500).
Laut George Beahm existieren nur noch etwa 100 Exemplare Weltweit.

Ausserdem wurden weitere 30 Exemplare gedruckt, die römisch von I bis XXX numeriert sind. Diese sind aber nie in den Handel gelangt.
